Latinx Art Collection at the DePaul Art Museum

DePaul Art Museum’s Latinx Initiative formalizes the museum’s ongoing efforts toward fostering Latinx representation and participation in museum exhibitions, collections, and public programs. The initiative is a multi-year research inquiry focused on artists of Latinx heritage living and working in the United States. The Latinx Initiative includes curatorial research and exhibitions, collection and community-building, and cultivating opportunities for student engagement.

Natasha Mijares

Natasha Mijares is an artist, writer, curator, and educator. Her debut collection of poetry, violent wave, is published by PANK Books. She received her MFA in Writing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited at various international and national galleries. Her work has appeared in Gravity of the Thing, Hypertext Review, Calamity, Vinyl Poetry, and more.
